INVICTUS...


Is a 2009 film based on the life of Nelson Mandela and set during the Rugby World Cup 1995 in South Africa. It was directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Morgan Freeman in the role of the then South African President Mandela and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, captain of South African rugby team. The story is based on John Carlin's book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation. The film premiered in the U.S. on December 11, 2009.

The film tells the early years lived in South Africa after the abolition of the apartheid system of apartheid.
